Some residents of the Dreaming Forest do not reside in rooms or roles. They exist in the forest itself only venturing into town when safety or necessity allows.
These residents are rarely humans though, but a no less valued members of the community. Quite a few that live here are animals, spending their days existing as part of the forest, resting, playing, wandering. However they are protectors of the town with a strong connection to the forest's sensory systems and mycelium network and lead into action as needed.
One example of these protective animals is a black cat, affectionately called Scar. They gained this name from first being known as a cat that would attack patreons who got lost in the Hall of Shadows. While on initial observation this could be perceived as being part of questionable threater's performance policies, Scar's actions interrupt the magic and the lost individual would find themselves having made their way to the ajoining Park. Scar has since developed their technique and now uses his aggressive nature not to claw people who get lost but instead meows loudly demanding attention and does not relant until he is receiving pats while sitting in the shade of the park's trees.
